Hi,
Sorry, I feel like I've asked about this exact phrase in a different context before, but couldn't find the post in my inbox.
Would you explain the underlined part? I understand "give me a break," but no clue for this "give her a break."
"Oh, come on," my mother would say. "I'm sure she's not that bad. Give her a break. The girl's just trying to do
