gardening period

hello,

Is it correct to say 'gardenning period' in english? Or should it be 'a period for gardenning'

"growing season" sounds more idiomatic to me.

I was refering to a class room period only. Like 8.45 to 10 is our 'gardening period. Or during this gardening period we learn a lot about plants

Yes, I think that in context, and especially if the course is called Gardening 101, it would be your gardening period. On the other hand, if the course were called Biology, then you might want to express it as a period devoted to gardening or your gardening laboratory.
