A painkiller was administered and DK fussed over Akki fondly. She instructed his make up man Narendra 'dada' to perform a time tested home remedy: the ailing foot is twisted and massaged in a particular manner, so as to assuage the pain and offer swift relief. Could you please explain to me the emboldened parts?
Though I know "fond" means "to like someone/something".
Top answer
User_gary Though I know "fond" means "to like someone/something". Not quite; "fond" is an adjective, not a verb (and "fondly" is an adverb). "fussed over" means that she lavished a lot of attention on him, in a protective (or over-protective) and motherly way.
