Hello everyone,My question has to do with the use of that of, and more specifically if it is possible to substitute ¨of ¨ for ¨in¨ or on or any other preposition required for the construction type. For Example: - The address that the customer provided differs from that of / in this document. Thanks in advance.

I've never seen that construction without "of", except I vaguely remember seeing it with "for" once. It's almost nonexistent as anything other than "that of". If I were you, I'd stick to "that of", but unfortunately that doesn't fit in the given sentence.

Your sentence would normally go like this:

The address that the customer provided differs from the one in this document.
