Free Jeff Kitchen Seminar
Jeff Kitchen, a screenwriting teacher who has given presentations at the Screenwriting Expo, and whose book I bought, recently sent out an email inviting people to attend some seminars of his for free. The seminars are being taped for a DVD set, and he needs audience members. The following update email came yesterday, and only then did it occur to me (dolt that I am) that LA people in this group might be interested in attending. Of course it's too late for the April 28th date mentioned, but there are tapings tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday.
I recommend his methods of structuring and plotting a screenplay. They're fairly involved, but they're quite interesting different from most other teachers out there. This is a chance to give him a listen for free.

This is part of the Expo's DVD series. They called back a bunch of folks who did classes last year and asked us to recreate the classes for DVD... and that meant we'd need an audience.

I passed on this - I'm going to eventually do my own DVDs. CS is paying a small % to the teacher for each DVD sold - and keeping the rest.
