freckles are ... ?
Which one is correct?
(a) Freckles are A disease that doesn't need a treatment.
(b) Freckles are diseases that don't need a treatment.
(c) Freckle is A disease that doesn't need a treatment.
(d) Freckles are THE disease that doesn't need a treatment.
???
Personally I think (a) is right, as no one has only "one" freckle.
(d) may be right, but somehow (can't explain) I wouldn't choose to use "the"
before disease. But combining a plural form of subject and a singular form of object
seems a bit odd, doesn't it? Any help?
