Paying attention to the punctuation following the words 'about myself' in each passage below, which one is correct per logical punctuation? I say that sentence #1 is correct.
1. “I know it sounds crazy to say that running for president is minor, but in the grand scheme of things, it was looking at Mary Pat and the kids and going: ‘I have to do this for them, even if I don't give a **** about myself’”, he told the New York Post.

Yes. As I’ve said a few times before, I prefer to place commas outside quotation marks when they don’t belong with the quoted material.
