Fix a run on with only an "and"?
Hi
Can you fix a run on sentence with only a conjunction, without any punctuation?
for instance, I like cats I like dogs. is a run on sentence.
Now, is it ok to say I like cats and I like dogs.
or is it necessary to say I like cats, and I like dogs.
and does the rule change with different conjunction words? like but, or, etc.
Because I've visited a couple of english sites, and they've only suggested using the conjunction with the punctuation to correct a run on.
