Hi,
Suppose I’m not a cat lover. But my girlfriend is. I want to tell her it’s OK to have cats in our house. Should I say…
1) I’m fine with cats.
2. Cats are fine with me.

Those are both possible. (2) can be interpreted in two ways: either that cats don't mind you, or, probably more commonly, that you don't mind cats, the same as (1) . In the latter sense we can also say "fine by me".
