expand

Hi,
I want to expand my knowledge anytime.
Is 'expand' correct? Can I use 'extend' instead of 'expand' here?

I would delete the word "anytime", and use "always". Both "extend" and "expand" are OK. I always want to expand / extend my knowledge.

Not too much difference.
When I think of expanding my knowledge, I think of learning about subjects I am not already familiar with.
When I think of extending my knowledge, I think of learning more details about subjects I already know.
