Errors correction
Dear Friends,
I feel confused about the following questions and could not get a definite answer.Would you be kind to help me out? Thank you very much!
Correct errors, if any, in the following sentence without changing the basic intended meaning. Leave out those you think acceptable.
1. The struggle was known to go on for over twenty years. My answer is : (have been gone)
2. He must lie up for a few weeks until his leg mend. (before)
3. The temerity she had just witnessed seemed beyond reach of the words. (description)
4. But besides economics is involved, for the extension of throw-away culture has important psychological consequences. (delete “for”)
5. Coward as he was, Bob ran back at the sight of the enemy. (cowardly)
6. This soup tastes better, but I still think it needs more salt. (delete “still”)
7. The watchman reported to have found the door open. (having)
