Erasmus - MOTIVATION LETTER
Hello moderators, could you be so kind and look at my motivation letter for erasmus study programme? Please help me, It’s the first time I write a motivation letter.
Dear (who? the erasmus coordinator?),
With this letter I would like to introduce myself and express my interest in studying at the University of XX as an Erasmus student.
My name is XX, I am currently studying Medicine at the University ZZ. I am just finishing my fifth year and I am looking forward completing my degree within 2013.
I love scientific subjects since I was a child and I have a genious for Mathematics and Physics. I was selected to participate to the Italian selections for the “International Mathematical Olympiad” when I was twelve and for the “International Physics Olympiad” when I was attending the High School.
This passion led me to select Radiology among all medical branches and to choose it as my future specialty. I am currently working (I am engaged in? )on a research project about xxxx at YY , a research center of my University.
I also love traveling and discovering new places and cultures, infact I participated in two cultural exchanges during high school: I hosted a Canadian and a Swedish girl and they hosted me too in their countries. It was an amazing experience and it changed my mind.
I am very pleased to attend my last year of Medical school in your University. I am sure that it will be both a personal and academic enrichment.
I am sure that the time spent in (country) will allow me to broaden my perspective and contribute to my personal development by expanding my abilities and widening my experience in a variety of medical subjects. I consider it is a challenge and an opportunity to explore and identify ways of improving myself and at the same time, this opportunity would be a means to improve my English and to learn another language at the same time.
Besides I will have the chance to discover a different country, with its traditions and culture, and I will have the opportunity to meet students from all over the world and to face a different challenge every day.
I believe that studying at XX will also have a positive impact on my future professional life.
I can’t wait to start.
