Endurance of "Newlyweds"
Is there a traditional length of time that a newly-married couple remain newlyweds? I'd guess a year at most, but there is probably a case to be made for six or eighteen months.
The dictionaries I consulted were not helpful and it doesn't seem to have been discussed here before.

I can't find anything online that indicates a specific period of time, but there are a number of references to that rule for seating married couples. Thank you.
