If I had been asked at the age of 10 where I saw myself at 25, my answer would have been different from now. I would have seen myself becoming a surgeon of some kind who has life all figured out. However, I now see myself as something very different in the future. Originally, the idea of becoming a surgeon fascinated me. I enjoyed the fact that I would be helping people and I would also be payed well for the job. Helping people makes me feel good about myself and I am interested in science and biology, so I thought that being in this medical profession would be the best for me. My focus was to get through school with a medical degree and nothing else. However, after 5 years of thinking, a surgical profession did not seem adequate enough. I did still want to work with biology, though, and chemistry, if a profession required both. The most obvious response would have been to be more interested biochemical engineering. Despite this, I have the desire to solve puzzles or mysteries, a desire that could not be met by simply becoming a biochemical engineer. The only profession I believe would suit those desires would be to become a biochemical forensic scientist. Additionally, I would like to work in theatre arts, be it a side job or an actual job. Forensic science would be a great job, but I do not believe it will give me all the satisfaction I look for in life. I would like to be doing theatre because it is something that help me make others happy. I dont expect that at the age of 25, I will have everything under control. I understand that it is often difficult to be successful straight out of college, though I do hope I will try. Rather than having everything figured out, I would be happier doing the things I love and worrying less about the things that stress me. .......................... Although the future is not clear, I wish to accomplish some of my goals by the age of 25. ........... to be a biochemical forensic scientist and to be happy .
