dufficulty pronouning vs. to pronounce

#1. I have difficulty pronouncing some words.

#2, I have difficulty to pronounce some words.

I ususally have learnt that 'difficulty' is followed by 'Gerund(-ing).

Do you think #2 is possible? If so, what is the difference between those two?

I guess 'to-inf' in #2 might be used as an apposition and gerund in #1 is used as an adverb . Am I right? or not?
