Dose it sound natural?

"You convinced me not to romanticize sadness but I can't help and look you in the eyes that are looking in the sky. "

It's just a sentence the came up in my mind few days ago and I want to make sure it's grammatically correct.

In terms of syntax, there is nothing incorrect. But it is not very sensible, and maybe it's not what you intend.

The part before 'but' is fine.

The part after 'but' is unclear in meaning, awkward and unstructured.
eg What is it that you can't help? The romanticizing
