Do the two sentences mean the same
A. Different eyewitnesses can give very different reports, though in each case describing what each observer firmly believes he or she saw.

Are the Sentences A and B basically the same in meaning?

The intended meaning is obviously the same, but I consider incorrect the extra comma in B. Clive
