Direct Object Clause vs. Subject Clause
Hi,
Could you, please, help me out with the following exercise:
Specify the syntactic function of the embedded clause:
For you to win the competition would be essential to your club.
Direct Object Clause
Subject Clause
Prepositional Object Clause
Indirect Object Clause
I think it´s a Subject Clause, but someone said it´s a Direct Object Clause.
