Difference b/w these two sentences?
Hi there, I'd appreciate it if someone could explain the difference b/w the following two sentences:
This award is the biggest farce i ever saw
*This award is the biggest farce i have ever seen*

Hi, S.P.I. Welcome to English Forums. We rarely use "ever" with a past tense. "Ever" explains the whole previous experience (in your sentence and is likely to be used practically always) and is rather similar to "any time before, including moment of speech".
Nevertheless, you may use it in informal speech in the same meaning.

Allow me to be a little pedantic.
You are asking about tenses, but overlooking the more simple matter that your sentences are incorrect because you do not have a capital 'I'.
In an exam, I would mark your sentences incorrect, regardless of whether the tense was correct.
