Difference beween wear and dress ..

hi there ... i am not a native english speaker ... so i dont know the difference between ..wear and dress.. i have excersices in aim high book level 2 from oxford .. i dont know where to use dress or wear .. help plz

wear needs an object. You wear some article of clothing when you have it on your body. I am wearing a shirt .

wear needs an object. You wear some article of clothing when you have it on your body.

I am wearing a shirt. She wore a blue skirt that day. You need to wear a tie if you go to that restaurant.

dress does not need an object. It often has an adverb or the equivalent.

She often dresses in blue. (wears blue clothes
