Could you please help me with two sentence, Thanks a lot!

00I've got question about two sentences from the Cambridge IELTS book:02br
001) from the discovery of fire to the invention of wheel to the development of the Internet we have been moving on from privious ways of doing things.02br
00My question is that why there is no punctuation inbetween "the Internet" and "we have been...." ?02br

002) Others, such as medical advances, positively help people to live better or longer, and so very much help traditional ways of life. 02br
00My question is that what does " and so very much" mean? Is it the same as " very much" or "so much"02br

00 And any I hope you can give me some suggestions about how to prepare the IELTS test? especially the writting part, I am really bad at it. 02br
