Could anybody correct two sentences for me?
There are many birds making/building nests above the ceiling of our room.
What a melodious music which is playing / is being played it's!

However, why can't I use melodious to describe music?

It seems odd. Music is by nature melodious, unless you run into an unusual bit of cacophony, so the word is redundant in a sentence such as yours.
