I need to send an email to my potential employer, I asked to change the starting date of my internship. Can someone look and tell me if my text is error free and concise ?
Good Morning ......,
Thank you for considering my situation and allowing me to start few days later. I am going to ------ for 2 weeks and I will be back on the afternoon of 7th January. I would like to start my internship at company name on Friday, 8th January (if that’s fine with everyone at company name) and if required I can work overtime or on weekends to make up for the lost work time.
In addition to this, I would like to let you know that this job means a lot to me and I would have never made such a request if it were not important. I couldn’t be more excited than being a part of Company name. The people seem beyond lovely, the responsibilities are exactly in line with my skills and interest, and there is a definite growth potential.
Thank you again, Mr. X and Mr.Y for offering me this wonderful opportunity, and do let me know if I can do anything in advance of my start date to facilitate the paperwork, or if there are any areas you`d like me to be reading up on.

Here is how I would word this (some of my changes are for style rather than grammar). Good morning: Thank you for considering my situation and allowing me to start few days late . I will be away for two weeks, returning on the afternoon of 7th January.
