Conversation on the phone
Hi,
Someone talked to me on the phone. He said something like "talk you later" or "talk to you later".
I want to know if "talk you later" and "talk to you later" are both correct.
Is talk you later informal, like go get the book ?

'(I'll) talk to you later' is correct. It's not the same as 'Go get the book', which is an instruction to somebody. Rover

They are not both correct. It's talk to you later. It's like saying "Good-bye". It's so common that it can be seen in abbreviated form at the end of other kinds of communications as well. (See below.)
