Jim: She got a little too much sun so she decided to go to bed early.

Ken: Are you sure it was the sun that made her tired, [and] not you.

I got two questions..

What does it mean by 'a little too much sun? Sunburn?

Is 'and' in the second sentence needed?

Thanks!
