Could you please check if I am using "convalesce" correctly?
After convalescing for two endless months, Annah, fraught with joy, went back to work. On the very first day back, to her dismay, instead of walking she was truding; instead of breathing she was gasping for air. Thus it continued regardless of how may breaks she took each day. By the end of the first week, Annah's energy reservoir was much more empty than full. Now, her weak, tired body is confined to bed, convalescing again.

Yes, you're fine with convalesce. But I think you might mean "trudging" instead of "truding." And "fraught" is usually associated with something negative - fraught with worry, fraught with danger - not something nice like joy. I think you might simply want to say "full of joy."
