"and" is a correlating conjunction. A conjunction is a connecting word.

Andre Doneas an urban population increases "and also" increasing number of people looking for countryside.
That is not a grammatically correct sentence.

I have made one that is correct:

As an urban population increases, there are also an increasing number of people looking for homes in the countryside.
