confuse A with B/ mistake A as B/ mix up with/ take A for B
The key to surviving the harsh environment was not to confuse faith with optimism.
Q) Can "confuse faith(A) with optimism(B)" be replaced with these?
1. "Mistake A as B"
2. "Mix up A with B"
3. "Take A for B"
Q2) If so, is #3 most colloquial?
