Dear teachers , please kindly correct my translation below:
1/ Yesterday is Sunday . The workers had to go to work , so they have today off as compensation.
2 / Yesterday is Sunday . The workers had to go to work , so they have today off in lieu of Sunday .
3/ If the workers agree to work on Sunday , they will be allowed to have a compensation day-off./ a day-off as compensation .
4/ Our office will be closed on Monday in lieu of the public holiday , which falls on Sunday .
5/ Our office will be closed on Monday because of replacement holiday for Sunday(On Sunday our office remains open , not closed as usual ))
6/ On Monday the boss phoned and asked me why I didn't come to work on that day , and I answered him that I didn't come to work that day Monday is my compensation day-off/ day-off as compensation
