Wondering what the rules are to determine how to end the sentences that compare subjects, objects and actions. I have noticed some sentences repeat the verb or aux. verb, but am not quite sure about the rules.
Also which of the sentences below are correct?

Both are correct. It think the second option would be more common, since it's shorter, but maybe you should also consider "her cat is as tall as mine"?
