Comparative essay

Hey guys, I'm stuck in a silly rut and I need a few pointers on how to attack this essay.

I'm studying two works, "tuesdays with morrie" by mitch albom, and "king lear" by shakespeare.

My topic is "how do morrie and king lear deal with their impeding deaths and what lessons do they learn?"

My three arguments for the essay are
Their views on death
Their views on family
Their views on how to live life

My question may seem silly but I am stucking trying to word these three arguments into the introduction paragraph. I would just like some tips on what direction I should take, and how i would go about incorperating them.

Here is what I wrote so far

An old man, a poor king, and life’s last bits of sand



“The very thought of you

And I forget to do
The little ordinary things that everyone ought to do…” (Albom, Mitch, Tuesdays with Morrie p.146). Life is the sum of everything that occurs each moment. The message of the above quotation is that small seemingly insignificant gestures can go a long way to building a loving relationship, and many people neglect to do these tiny things in the modern world.
