There goes my auntie, bragging about her son's talents. It was a weekly routine. My aunt would visit us every Friday night, hand us expensive gifts with their price tags still on them and boast about her 'wonderful' son.

I would appreciate it very much if someone would comment on / edit the above.

Where I live, adults tend to say 'aunt', not 'auntie'. Perhaps this is a child speaking.

Since you seem to be speaking of the past, say 'There went my auntie'.

I would omit the word 'them'.
