Commas to set off participle clauses
I was just wondering about the sentence below. Are the placements of commas correct?
e.g. Peter pumped waste into the river, killing all the fish, and Bob started a fire in a mall, causing much damage.
Does the placement of 'causing much damage' create confusion??
