I'm willing to do anything within the confines of common sense to get this position.
I don't know what 'common sense' has (confines, limits, borders, etc.). Maybe there are other problems with this sentence. I don't know.

within the limits of common sense I will do anything as long as it is reasonable. I wouldn't recommend saying this in a job application. It states what seems obvious.
