The mail clerk tells me there's a cheaper way to send mail besides media mail after I have already sent it the more expensive way. I say to her:
You should've told me earlier, so I would've sent it the cheaper way. Or
You could've told me earlier, so I would've sent it the cheaper way.
Are both useable? Which one is better. Thank you.
