Clauses and verbs!! please help me
Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help me. I have to analyse the grammar in this sentence:
Verterbrates are born looking like small versions of their parents.
Are there two clauses? i.e.
1. "Vertebrates are born..." and
2. "...looking like small versions of their parents."
or is it one clause? If so, would that mean that "are born looking" is a phrasal verb?
I am so stuck!
Thanks for your help
