Clause Types Question
Confused about this sentence
Brant freed Todd’s arms, and then the two men worked together to free Todd’s chest.
I've separated the clauses into
Brant freed Todd’s arms,
and then the two men worked together to free Todd’s chest.
But I'm have trouble identifying the second clause type. I'm currently thinking its independent but I'm unsure if its that simple.
