01 b 00 My name is Raed Hmeed. I have been through many experiences and major decisions in my life. One decision was the process of changing my college courses into academic courses in high school to try and achieve a bachelor program in University. I had an experience staying in another country independently, even though I was held back from school for another year, but my self dependence gave me the chance of realizing how important education is. I also had a long term job experience with forklift, and with the hard labor experience, I made the decision to approach education and end up working in a different atmosphere when finishing the bachelor program at Humber.. 02 b 02 br

01 b 00 I chose nursing as my academic program because, being helpful is one of the important personality of a nurse which can benefit me in the later on study of nursing. I am told to be helpful by others, and I spent a few occasions helping old people back home. I chose Nursing because it is considered a humanitarian job. There is also a shortage of nurses not only in Canada but worldwide. In other words, it is so easy to find a job after graduation. In addition, I believe that a lot of male nurses are required in our Canadian society, and I chose to be one of those male nurses. Also, Nursing is one of the programs that are identical to Medicine, hopefully with high marks at Humber, I can use my Nursing degree to approach Medicine, or continue Master and PHD in nursing. 02 b 02 br

01 b 00 One of the reasons why I chose UNB at Humber is because it is not further away from where I live. I also chose Humber because I prefer studying the BN program than the BScN since it contains more science, and more emphasizes itself on the clinical practice of nursing. 02 b 02 br
