Catch up with my old friends?
I have two qiestions. Thank you for your help.
The first question is that i want to confirm the meaning "catching up with old friends" in the following sentence.
My firends and I took a bus to the park and spent the day looking at famous historic monuments, all the while catching up with old friends.
" Catching up with old friends" means "we share the recent news with each other because we haven't met each other for a while. Or is there any other explanations?
The second question is how to pronounce the name M.J. Can i just pronounce it based on the letter? My question is that I don't know what M and J stand for.
