Can you help me to check any mistakes?
I was trying to use these four words, auction, vogue, sole, defective, to make up a conversation practice. Can you help me wto see if I have made any mistakes?

M: Hi, Jenny, what’s wrong with you? Are you OK? You looked kind of upset this morning..
W: Well, it’s the shoes I bought two weeks ago from on-line auction.
M: I remember them. They are very much in vogue this year. What’s wrong with them? They looked fine last time you wore them to the office.
W: They were. But yesterday, I found out that there was a hole in the sole from one of the shoes. And it seems to get bigger this morning.
M: Oh, no. That’s terrible. How could that happen? They were brand name shoes.
W: I think I might get the defective ones. That might be the reason why they were so cheap on the auction. I’m going to call the company to see if I can return them.
M: Good luck on that.

instead of using
