Can you help me correct these sentences? Thank you!

When I read the book the secret at first, it seems ridiculous as it claims you could achieve anything once you think it, repeatly, in your mind. However, after a while, it appears plausible to some extent. It depends on your altitute, if you have a great desire for something, then maybe you are desperate to accomplish it in any way you knew.
