Can someone critique this thesis and give me suggestions? Thanks!

0 The topic of the essay is supposed to be our overall statement about pop culture. I have tried to be as specific as possible. What frustrates me the most is we are supposed to incorporate major points from 3 essays we have written over the semester and they are so unrelated. Anyway, here is my thesis. I know it may be a little long. Any criticism/suggestions? Thanks! 02br

00Despite gender codes becoming less defined over time, I have found that women are still subjected to a narrow ideal of beauty defined largely by the media and women’s power continues to be subverted by that emphasis placed on beauty. In turn, beauty becomes a focus in everyday life as well and women are forced to go to extreme and even dangerous measures to maintain the beauty ideal. 0-
