Hello,Can I use all these synonyms in this sentence?By day,   in the afternoon, during the day, in the day.He works in the morning and  in the daytime.Thanks

As for me the sentence

He works in the morning and in the daytime.

isn't correct as the word daytime means not afternoon but the part of a day between the time when it gets light and the time when it gets dark so that morning is the part of the daytime(as afternoon and evening)...

during the day is also may be misunderstood as the day is a twenty-four-hour period... so that during the day it may be early in the morning or late in the evening... So that I would understand the sentence "He works in the morning and during the day" as he always works in the morning but he can be setted for work by his employer any time.

as for the in the day it seems to me that you should write at instead of in. I'm not sure but at day means the same as at dawn (so that it is the same as in the morning).

So that in my opinion, the only correct sentence is:

He works in the morning and in the afternoon

These aren't truly synonyms. You can say

He works mornings and afternoons. / He works days. / He works the day shift.
