does "by" have meaning in this context? "The tracking deviation score of the peripheral perception test decreased *by* (0.3± 1.45) value at the end as compared to the beginning of the shift for day-shift group, while increased for the night-shift group (0.3± 0.86)" Is the use of "value" necessary?
Top answer
"decreased by" is OK. The word "value" should be deleted. I find the brackets unnecessary.
