Sir, 1. Tipu didn't behave himself. What is meaning of this sentence? Thanks.

Sometimes people, especially children, are not able to sit still.  For example, in a doctor's waiting room you sometimes see two families waiting to be called in to the doctor's office.  Usually everyone sits and waits quietly.  The children from one family may sit still and wait quietly with their mother while the children from the other family are playing, running, and screaming, and tearing up the magazines that have been put there to read.  The quiet children are behaving well; they are behaving themselves.  They are able to control themselves; they are able to control their own behavior.  The loud and annoying children are misbehaving; they are not behaving themselves.  They are being annoying to everyone who is waiting in the waiting room.  Parents usually prefer a child who can behave himself.  As a child, I sometimes had difficulty behaving myself.  As adults, most of us are able to behave ourselves, although some adults occasionally lose control and are unable to behave themselves.  Did you behave yourself as a child?  What did you parents do when you didn't behave yourself?  Did they punish you for your misbehavior?
