It's hard to shake off the feeling that Taylor is on to something, you find yourself provoked into thought or agreement.
--- I understand it this way: It's impossible not to notice that Taylor has got a plan and the reader finds himself provoked to either agree with him, or think why he (the reader) has a different opinion (than Taylor).
