Assertive affirmative

Question

I am totally confused with assertive and affirmative sentences. I want to know how can i change them into negative. Some people say that while changing an assertive sentence into negative the meaning remains same like:

I love her

I do not hate her

Please guide me what are assertives, affirmativs, negative and their interrogatives

= a sentence that makes a statement; a declarative sentence (I.e., not an imperative, exclamatory or interrogative sentence).

I like peanuts.

The world is not flat.

All four types of sentences (listed above) can be either affirmative or negative. Negative sentences contain a form of 'not' in the verb phrase.

Don't do that.

I'm going, too!

Aren't you happy?

You can do that, but an exercise in changing affirmative to negative normally requires keeping the same verb:

I love her

I don't love her.
