asking abour appositive
Hi everyone!
I'm very grateful when I can join this room, and I can see that my English improves so much. However, I am still considering about one matter in English. It is talking about the appositive.
In one page of grammar advanced book, I could see that:
POST_MODIFICATION BY NON_FINITE VERBS
1.to verb
2, V-ing
3. V-ed
However, in the first matter, I really don’t understand when they said:
To verb:
a) appositive: their hope to become teacher
b) descriptive: the last bus to arrive
I still wonder why in the (a) the appositive is " to become teacher" because I can see that appositive is a noun or nour phrase that remains another noun beside it.

An appositive is a description of a noun that is preceding or following. Here, to become a teacher, describes the noun hope. phrase, therefore b) is not an appositive.
