Anti-

Hi.

Anti- is a prefix meaning against like in antidepressant, but anti does not mean against in antibiotics or antibody because it can't be against life or body.

I would be grateful if you could help me in this regard.

Anti- is a prefix meaning against like in antidepressant, but anti does not mean against in antibiotics or antibody because it can't be against life or body. Your 'definitions' of "life" and "body" are much too restricted. There are other forms of life besides humans and animals.
