I have another question about the adjective 'slick'.

Accroding to this definition; ''Slick- Superficially attractive or plausible but lacking depth or soundness: a slick writing style. See Synonyms at http://www.thefreedictionary.com/glib.'' Can the words slick and glib be used instead of garish or gaudy?
